HBX 2193 390 Motor stops working after 5 minutes, then works again when cool. Why?
This is overheating from blocked vents or worn components. First, clean the motor’s vents with compressed air (dust traps heat).
If it still overheats, the carbon brushes are worn (they lose conductivity when hot). Worn brushes can’t be replaced separately—swap the motor with the original 390 Motor to fix the intermittent shutdown.
