I accidentally got mud inside my HBX 3100A Brushless Motor, and now it makes a loud hum but won’t spin. Can I fix it?
Mud clogs the motor’s internal parts.
First, disconnect the motor from the ESC and wipe external mud with a damp cloth. Let it air-dry for 24 hours (no heat).
If it still hums, mud is stuck in the bearings—gently tap the motor to loosen it.
If it won’t spin, the bearings are damaged; replace with the original Brushless Motor (bearings aren’t user-serviceable).
